The annual ONE Conference brings 1,000 parish and ministry leaders from across Catholic Vancouver together to connect, learn and inspire each other. Mercy and Beyond: Sharing our Joy is the theme of the 2018 ONE Conference, and we will hear from two remarkable keynote speakers who have inspired thousands of people to receive God's mercy and share His joy with others.

Dr. Josephine Lombardi

Dr. Josephine Lombardi

Theologian, author, wife and mother

Dr. Lombardi has worked as a parish minister, university campus minister, high school chaplaincy leader, teacher educator through O.E.C.T.A., professor of Religious Education, Brock University, retreat facilitator, faith formation consultant, and program coordinator in the Diocese of Hamilton. Presently, she is Associate Professor of Pastoral and Systematic Theology, Professor of Field Education, and Director of Lay Formation for St. Augustine’s Seminary in Scarborough, Ontario.

Priest, author and speaker

Father James Mallon is the author of the best selling book Divine Renovation: From A Maintenance To A Missional Parish, an engaging guide for parishes seeking to cultivate vibrant and dynamic faith communities centred on missionary discipleship. Divine Renovation has resonated in the hearts of hundreds of pastors and the laity throughout the world.  Father James serves the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, and serves in the Divine Renovation Ministry.

Heather and Jake Khym

Heather and Jake Khym

Founders of Life Restoration

Jake and Heather Khym have been involved in serving the Church on various levels. They live in British Columbia with their 3 children. Jake has a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology with a concentration in Catechetics. Heather is an established speaker and worship leader with over 20 years of experience. The mission of Life Restoration is to create environments of encounter, where people can draw close to God, experience restoration, and become fully alive.

Dr. Deborah MacNamara

Dr. Deborah MacNamara

Counsellor, teacher, and author

Dr. MacNamara is the author of the best selling book, Rest, Play, Grow: Making Sense of Preschoolers (or anyone who acts like one). She is on Faculty at the Neufeld Institute, and is the Director of Kid’s Best Bet, a Counselling and Family Resource Center. Deborah is a dynamic teacher and experienced counsellor who makes developmental science come to life. She provides counselling services to parents and professionals to make sense of learning, behavioural, and developmental issues in kids.

J. Michael Miller, CSB

J. Michael Miller, CSB

Archbishop of Vancouver

The Most Reverend J. Michael Miller, CSB, will be celebrating Mass at 4 p.m. with ONE Conference participants. In addition to teaching theology in seminaries in the U.S., Mexico and Rome, Archbishop Miller has served on the boards of schools, universities, health care institutions, and numerous professional and public service organizations. Besides English, Archbishop Miller is fluent in Spanish, Italian and French. He is a specialist on the papacy and modern papal teaching.
